FAQ / Why am I asked to pair with when opening a stream? Is it safe?
« Last post by David A on November 11, 2017, 02:01:52 PM »
Some streams when you attempt to open them will ask you to pair it. The message will be like the below.
"To play this video, authorization is required.

Visit the link below to authorize the devices on your network: then click “Pair”"

These are perfectly safe to follow and are great working streams. You must preform this step from another device (laptop, phone, tablet) that is on the same network as Streamsmart. Click on the button that says "I'm not a robot" then scroll down and click on pair.

This will let all streams on your network work without pairing for 4 hours.

Note:There are more and more sites that have gone to this pairing before opening the stream. They are safe to use. Some examples are below
FAQ / Time is off by one hour after day light savings ended
« Last post by David A on November 05, 2017, 07:22:28 AM »
If your time didn't adjust after day light savings ended you may need to manually update the time zone.
Head over to the android screen (if you are inside media player click android button on remote) scroll right till you see date & time and open it.
Make sure Automatic Time is enabled. If that's enabled and your time is still off manually adjust your time zone correctly as auto time zone might not pick up your correct time zone. disable auto time zone and click on it. Use arrow down to change to the correct time zone. Click return to exit and verify the date and time are correct now. Go back into Media player.
