FAQ / How to fix small window display while watching stream

If you start a stream and the window only displays a small window in the upper left you must restart your streamsmart unit to fix the issue.

YouTube Add-on has been fixed. No need to manually fix this anymore. Double click red refresh button to get the update. If that didn't work run the wizard.

If after day light savings ended and your time is off by one hour read this post how to adjust it.

There is a new OTA update that is mandatory that fixes audio, and sub titles button on remote. There are other enhancements in this firmware so make sure you update. After the update your firmware will be on version 8.2.1
Pro Plus model firmware is 8.2.2
All other models are still on version 8.0.2

Chat with one of our agents for help on your streamsmart for live one on one personal support.

For existing Streamsmart customers only we have a live chat available on the main page located in the bottom right of the page titled "chat now"

That chat is not to be used for pre sales questions or any sales of any kind.
Also it is not for help finding content. Please don't ask for example where you can find a sports event, tv show, movie etc.
Get familiar with the different tabs and use any of the add-ons under the section you need.
FAQ / Stuck on black screen or loading screen

Step 1
First verify date and time are correct.
click on red kodi/refresh button on remote
verify date time is correct

 If your time is not correct
keep scrolling right until you see date & time and go into it.
* enable automatic time
* enable automatic time zone
  click return on your remote
  scroll left (or right if you didn't open date & time) and go into streamsmart tools
* click force stop
* click clear cache
   if you don't see these options click return button. Scroll right to advanced / more settings / apps /Media Player / click force stop / click clear cache.

Now go back to media player and be patient while it loads.
FAQ / How to fix YouTube addon errors

This is the fix for YouTube add-on not working.
Go to "all add-on" tab and click on it.
Scroll down to YouTube add-on and highlight it. Click menu button then add-on settings.
Tab over to API tab and change preset API key set to 2 or 3 and your youtube should work. If one API doesn't work just change it again to find one that does work.
FAQ / How to add parental control

1) Go to all system tab, click on programs, scroll down to "Pin Sentry"
2) Highlight Pin Sentry and press the "menu" button on your streamsmart remote
3) Choose "add-on settings"
4) Set pin value then select okay at the bottom, back out of add on settings
5) Click ok on the pin Sentry add on, Choose "plugins" and find the ones that you want to set a pin on.

FAQ / How to run a speedtest

Press the Android or home button on your streamsmart remote then open streamsmart tool select speedtest.
- Press the cursor button on your remote, then use the directional arrows to select start/begin test.
- The important information here is the download speed
- Once the test is complete, press the cursor button again to turn the cursor off.

The only speedtest that matters is the one run on your Streamsmart. As this is the device in question.

FAQ / Remote isnt working

Remote not working?
- Change batteries or charge the remote if using a USB or Bluetooth remote.
- Press the cursor button and then move the arrows to ensure the cursor is not on.
- Power cycle your streamsmart by turning it off and then on again.
- Point the remote directly at the box.

Note: If your remote is still not working then it may be time to purchase a new one.  Return to the person or website that you purchased your streamsmart from for a new remote.  Most of them should offer a keyboard remote that has a further range and makes typing and navigation really easy.
* In the interim any USB or Bluetooth remote, keyboard or mouse should work.  You can also use the app on your phone but this will only partially work as it only works inside of Kodi.  Search Kodi remote in your app store.
